Hosting a Socially Distant Graduation…

Graduation is undeniably a major milestone. The ceremony to commemorate students’ achievements is a proud moment, not only for the students, but also for their families and teachers who have all contributed to these successes.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, when strict regulations prohibit gatherings of people, encourage social distancing measures, and challenge the traditional methods of celebrating, Revelation has a few options to assist schools in honoring their graduates.
Live Streaming Graduation
The first option is more of a traditional live stream option, viewed through Zoom, Facebook, or even your school’s website, where the administrator would read the names of graduates and prepare a message to the students as they would in a physical ceremony. Revelation produced this type of live stream event for UMass Medical School recently to graduate the class of new doctors for immediate entry into the workforce. Revelation uses high-quality PTZ cameras, audio equipment, and lighting to guarantee a flawless broadcast for such an important occasion.

Graduation Parade
The second option Revelation offers is a social distancing graduation parade. With this option, Revelation sets up a 17’ x 10’ LED screen trailer outside of the school. The screen displays the names of students, photographs, and any other content the school wishes to showcase in a repeating video format. The school building is lit up outside with the spirit colors, creating a festive atmosphere. Students and families are then welcome to parade through the school’s driveway, remaining in their cars, to see the display. This option gives them a sense of togetherness and the opportunity to take photographs of their non-traditional graduation ceremony!
